Hi! I’m Abby.

Gifted with a fresh pack of colored pencils at the age of 10, I knew these were the only tools I needed in life. A Pittsburgh native, my creative upbringing carved my future into being an artist and amateur illustrator.

Currently, my work focuses on character-centric and botanical illustrations using colored pencils on black paper and digital drawing on black backgrounds. While I often finds inspiration in everyday things, my greatest inspiration is the feeling of wonder and first discovery that I first felt when I began drawing as a child. Illustration lets me create worlds in which the beauty of nature meet a world of child-like curiosity and imagination to create unique scenes of enchanted animals, creatures, and flora. Using a black background lets the form and color of the subject stand out more, and sets fantastical and a sometimes mischievous stage for the illustrations.
